Daniel Kumi is a serial entrepreneur who has been involved in a series of new ventures in Silicon Valley over the past 22 years either as a founder or part of the founding/early team. His previous experience includes product development, operations and financial management, sales and business development. He spent 9 years in sales and market development roles at Aspera, an innovative software development company, where he helped grow the company from a 4-person team with no revenues and no venture capital to a profitable company with over 130 employees and over 2000 customers. Daniel’s initial sales success in the media and entertainment, government/ defense, and life science markets were critical for Aspera’s explosive growth, and eventual sale to IBM in December 2013. He serves on the board of FacilGo, Inc, a California based software-enabled marketplace targeting both multi and single family residential real estate industry. He is also an investor in 12 startups across multiple industries, including Manufacturing, FinTech, Chips & Semiconductor, Aerospace & Defense, Security, and Artificial Intelligence/Geospatial Analytics. He has a BS in Engineering, a BA in Economics and a Concentration in Public Policy from Swarthmore College, and an MBA from the Haas School of Business at UC Berkeley
